Description
After seeing the beautiful art of Tifaeris and LisaPannek I was in awe, amazed, but also inspired! I wanted to try and draw something like their incredible art as well! Aaaand so that’s what I tried to do with this drawing.
This is a Rusty Spotted Cat (Prionailurus rubiginosus), one of the smallest feline species currently known to us (only rivaled by the Black-footed Cat (Felis nigripes) as the world’s smallest cat) and it’s pretty rare (as well as incredibly cute). They’re 34-48cm in length, soooyea that’s not very big. Though it’s debatable whether it’s truly the smallest cat species in the world, it IS the smallest cat species in Asia! as it’s indigenous to India and Sri Lanka (whereas the Black-Footed Cat is indigenous to Africa I believe).
This is coincidentally also the first drawing I’ve finished in just three days. Normally I take like at least more than a week to finish something because my drawing sessions aren’t really long and I’m busy all the damn time (or well, it feels like that anyway).
Though this time I managed to do it in three days somehow, I suppose you could see it as a testimony to the power of inspiration!
Oh and happy new year by the way! I wish you all a very happy 2018 and good luck with writing the correct year when writing down the date (I initially wrote the wrong date on this drawing ).
A cetacean drawing is up next.
